Kenny Ortega directed 3 episodes of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning television series Ally McBeal created by David E. Kelley that aired for five seasons on the FOX network (1997-2002). It follows the life of the eccentric and funny Ally McBeal (played by Calista Flockhart), a Boston lawyer, who has to work with her ex-lover (played by Gil Bellows) and his wife (played by Courtney Thorne-Smith). Ally searches for love and fulfillment in her life throughout the show, using vivid, dramatic fantasy sequences; particularly notable is the "dancing baby".
Kenny got to work with Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Ricci, Portia de Rossi, Hayden Panettiere, Vanessa Williams, Regina Hall, Lucy Liu, Robert Downey, Jr., Taye Diggs, and Anne Heche.
